FAQ

How do I find my chassis code?

Your chassis code (e.g. F30, G20, E90) identifies your BMW's generation and is different from your model name. The fastest way to find it: check the sticker on your driver's door jamb, or the first characters of your VIN, or search "[your BMW model + year] chassis code" online. If you're not sure, leave it blank at checkout and mention your year, model and trim in the order note — we'll confirm before we build.

What's a VIN and why do digital clusters and dashcams need it?

Your VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) is the 17-character code on your registration or driver's door jamb. Digital clusters are coded and calibrated to your VIN and exact mileage before they ship, so the cluster shows correct mileage and matches your car's options from the moment it's installed. Dashcams don't require a VIN, but we ask for it as an optional field to help confirm fitment on request.

What if I'm not sure of my exact model or trim?

Leave the field blank and add a note at checkout with whatever you do know — year, series, and any details you have. We'll follow up before your order goes into production if anything needs confirming.

Can I return a custom-painted key shell or a coded digital cluster?

We accept returns within 30 days on unused, uninstalled items in original packaging. Because key shells are hand-painted to order and digital clusters/dashcams are coded to your VIN, custom orders can only be returned if the part is defective or was miscoded/mispainted on our end. See our Shipping & Returns page for full details.

How long does it take to build and ship?

Most items are built, painted, or coded within 5–7 business days before they leave our workshop. Tracked delivery then takes roughly 7–20 business days depending on your country, on top of that build time.

Is shipping really free?

Yes — every product we sell ships free, worldwide, with no minimum order value.

Can I install this myself?

Key shells and steering wheels are designed as direct swaps for your factory part — most customers install them at home with basic tools. Digital clusters and dashcams involve trim removal and connectors; we recommend a qualified installer if you're not comfortable working behind interior panels, though many customers do install these themselves.

What's included with the dashcams?

Every dashcam configuration ships with a 64GB microSD card, the camera module(s), mounting bracket, card reader, pry tool and a quick-start guide. See each product page for the exact configuration.
